WP6 Sustainability Meeting

Quang Ninh, June 25-26, 2026

The STRIVE project consortium convened at the premises of Quang Ninh University of Industry for its penultimate project meeting, dedicated to Work Package 6 on Sustainability. The two-day event brought together 24 participants, including representatives of partner institutions from Italy, Portugal, and Vietnam, alongside delegates from 3 newcomer Vietnamese universities and the sustainable tourism enterprise Magnolia Sustainable Experiences.

The meeting marked a significant step in the project’s lifecycle. With 7 milestones and 11 deliverables already completed, the consortium reviewed the final stretch of activities ahead of the project’s conclusion in early 2027.

Key outcomes of the meeting included the Steering Committee’s approval of the Internationalization Virtual Centre (IVC) — the project’s main sustainability vehicle — whose formal establishment agreement will be signed at the final meeting. Partners also agreed on the operational roadmap for the Monitoring Tool on Internationalization, a data-driven dashboard to be hosted on the IVC website, tracking each Vietnamese university’s internationalization performance through 13 agreed indicators.

The results of the 8 awareness seminars on Erasmus+ opportunities — which reached over 620 students and staff across Vietnam between July 2025 and May 2026 — were presented and will feed into an upcoming project report.

The second day was devoted to the refinement of the SUSTOUR-VN Erasmus+ CBHE project proposal on sustainable tourism, with active participation from newcomer partner universities and industry stakeholders.

The project’s final meeting is scheduled for early January 2027 at Academy of Public Administration and Governance’s premises in Hanoi.
